I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire but I don't let distance put me off.

Here's what I can offer you:

• Over 30 years' experience of calling with bands, local and international (big name bands), of all shapes, sizes and musical heritages.
• Many years' experience of MC-ing concerts and shows
• Long experience as a radio presenter (including Junior Dance -- an entire series on country dancing for BBC Schools' Radio in the early 90s, which I scripted, presented, arranged, played and directed the band for)
• Dozens of gigs since I returned at New Year from a long spell abroad -- with CDs or MP3s (depending on the "springiness" of the dance floor!)

How much will it cost you? E mail me for an All-in price (including travel costs) For this, I agree to arrive at the venue an hour before the scheduled performance start time, and perform for three hours (inclusive of a refreshment break).

All you need to provide is one power outlet, close to a sturdy table for me to put a small mixer, a power amplifier, a CD player and a small radio microphone receiver on.

My programme includes a variety of traditional English dances -- suitable for a mixed and varied audience of all ages (including children). The dances are all chosen to be accessible to total beginners with two left feet, and all instructions (and encouraging noises) are given throughout the dance. I get down on the dance floor among the dancers to make sure they have a good time (and if they get it wrong, so much the better).
